Snowflake and S3 Data Lake(s) provide a cloud native, scalable, cheaper, easier to use options when consolidating data within a corporation. Teradata is largely a legacy platform that does not have the attributes of a cloud-native data repository. Most firms are migrating their Teradata estates to either AWS S3 Data Lake and / or Snowflake. Both can be used. Automation (using GenAI) will be important to move the code and ETL processes from Teradata to SQL based Snowflake and S3.
